Day 10
I realized at this point it was time to share this with somebody who might know what this is. I wasn’t sure where to start with my search, do I need to contact a geologist, quantum physicist or a shaman>?- I thought to myself . I started with local college departments for a geologist, I came across Dr. Alden Foster from the local Community College. I sent him an email explaining briefly what I had found and how I’m ready for help with my findings. He immediately wrote back saying to meet him at a public library. I grabbed my bag and headed out over to my local public library. I sat down in a quiet room #2. 5 minutes later he showed up. I closed the door. He sat down and started pulling books out of his bag. “Nice to meet you Jared; It’s funny you should email me about this hole you found. I had been studying it for the past 8 years, off and on. Recently I thought all of them were gone, here take a look at these…” He gave me what looked like a scrap book filled with Polaroids and notes next to them with equations that looked like it was explaining how it worked. ” So…(looking at the material)…does this explain everything? I said. No, not everything, this is only the start. The physics behind the phenomenon have always been unexplained. We know how they work in theory, but it doesn’t add up to anything we can reproduce, or make complete sense of. He pulled out a black folder that said “CAMP HERO” on the cover. “This is what was left of it” There was a black and white photocopy of a photo that was difficult to make out, there were about 5 people standing around a pit, one looked like a General. the others like scientists and lab techs. “Left of what?”. I can show you, can you take the rest of the day off? “Sure, where are we going? To Northampton. He said with a nostalgic grin. I’ll drive, he said. We got in his car and proceeded to make our journey out to the far east end of long island. Along the way I explained in detail what the hole made me feel, the incident with the animal. He looked over at me like he had heard this story before. What is it, I said. Nothing really it’s just good to be going back…
