The story goes. About 2 years ago I found myself with dry skin. It went from oily to dry, almost overnight and it began to feel uncomfortable. I started buying name brand bottled lotions and doing some light research on good moisturizer ingredients at the same time. It didn’t take long before I started reading and seeing cocoa butter and shea butter products. I picked up some products, lotions, but lotion was like sprinkling water on parched earth. Yeah it absorbed quickly, but my skin was dry not long after, what’s the point? So I started looking at the other end to try and fix the problem, products that dried out my skin like soaps, and headed out in that direction, and so I started to discover the world of high quality natural ingredients and oils. After doing some more research, I started to find that the Amazon River Basin produced the highest quality butters in the world, which was great because I have a thing for the Amazon. So finally, I ended up with the product, MEWY Body Salve, a simple high quality fragrance free intense moisturizer. I’ll wrap this up by saying, if you think the majority of affordable products out there have quality natural ingredients, they do not, read the label and see how many fillers, water content and preservatives it has, it’s ridiculous. Yes it’s a true story.

Over the summer I went out and registered MEWY as a brand name, so occasionally I will releasing some things, more in the new blog with a proper shopping area. I’ll be back later.
